Jonote Collection

The pieces in this collection are crafted by a group of Indigenous women who are part of Masehual Siuamej Mosenyolchicauani (which means "women who support each other" in Náhuatl). This committee is made up of women from six different communities in the Sierra of Puebla, México. Each basket is handwoven using natural fibers from a native tree called jonote.
