Introducing El Coyote Chimney, an artisan-crafted masterpiece that stands as a true testament to exclusive design and traditional craftsmanship. Uniquely shaped like a coyote, this chimney releases the essence of incense, smudge sticks, or candles through its mouth opening, inspired by the spirit of Huáncito, the "land of the coyotes" in P'urhépecha.

Experience the warmth and cultural essence our Coyote Chimney brings—a remarkable treasure, passionately designed to infuse your home with both artistry and functionality.

With every chimney purchase, you will receive one incense cone.

How are you making a difference with your purchase?

Many of our artisans live in the countryside of México so finding economic stability can be challenging due to the lack of safety, infrastructure, employment, education, and other factors. Although the communities have so much to offer, talents are severely overlooked. At con intención, we proudly partner with artisan women who are forced to travel in order to sell their goods, often bringing their entire family, without any financial guarantee.

con intención works directly with these women to ensure they may continue working from the comfort of their home, avoid the challenges and uncertainty of long-distance travel, and provide a means to steady income. Every purchase you make directly contributes to the livelihood and well-being of these skilled artisans and their communities.

know who made your product

Maricela is by far one of the most talented artisans that I know. She specializes in high-fire clay pottery. Her products reflect her immense creativity. She is a member of the P’urepécha indigenous community from Huáncito, Michoacán. The remote location of Huáncito makes it hard for her to reach more consumers. She is forced to travel to faraway cities and works endlessly to reach a larger market. She travels with her son and sells her items on foot, carrying her products on her back with a rebozo (Mexican traditional shawl). Maricela is a lovely person and an amazing mother. Whenever you purchase from her collection, you are helping preserve traditions and invest in the well-being of Maricela and her family.
